Sanjay Gupta’s “Pankh” is a story of a young boy who was forced by her mother to act as a girl in the film industry. It’s a very touching story and it’s a break away from a normal commercial film. All the actors have put in a lot of effort for the movie.

Bipasha is a perfectionist, while dubbing for the film Bipasha visited the Aradhna Studio for the recording, the studio seemed like it was jinxed as whenever Bipasha used to go there for dubbing she always had a soar throat and couldn’t record. This happened around 6 times on a row and everyone thought that place was jinxed. Then they shifted the location and decided to record at Qlab and everything went on smoothly and Bipasha recorded it. Bipasha had to visit the studio 7 times to record it and this proves Bipasha is a perfectionist.

Asin is a Fan of Archie

While the whole world is talking about Archie’s upcoming marriage with Veronica and apart from Betty-Veronica there is someone else who equally loves Archie - its Asin.

Talking about Archie comics,she says, “I have been stuck on them since I was nine years old.”

Asin reveals that she is a big lover or Archie and has a big collection of Archie comic books and carries them along whenever she goes abroad.

Deepika is Hrithik’s Next Heroine

Rakesh Roshan is all set to make the sequel to his last flick Krissh after he gets over with his current project Kites.

A source reveals, “After the success of ‘Krrish’, the Roshans decided to go ahead with the sequel of the movie. Their first priority was to finish with ‘Kites’ and then work on ‘Krrish 2’. ‘Kites’ is almost done and is in the post-production stage. Rakesh Roashan`s production house FilmKraft is working on ‘Krrish 2’. They are at an infant stage and still working on script and the star cast, but it obviously includes Hrithik as the actor.”

“The layout of the script is ready and it will see Hrithik in a superhero avatar once again. He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World, so naturally the film will be shot extensively at various foreign locations. Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. Like the prequel, this too will have SFX and a big crew of foreign technicians.”

Aamir Says don’t Watch Raakh

Aamir’s first feature flick Raakh is re-releasing, but Aamir is not happy about it. Aamir is strongly backing the producers in the ongoing multiplex strike war and he feels that his film being released in multiplexes during the strike is not a good thing.

Aamir says, “Raakh is my second film and was released in 1990. Currently the person holding the rights is being opportunistic and is trying to make a quick buck by releasing the film during the strike. Also, the multiplexes might buy into the film in order to try and score a point over me and the unity of the producers. I therefore request my fans to stay away from all my films if they are released in any National Multiplex Chain during this period of struggle.”

However the people who are releasing Raakh say, “It’s a great film that deserves another chance. It’s not yet decided if we will release it in single screen theaters or multiplexes. We will do whatever is best for the film but the film has a lot of potential for single screen theaters, specially in the interiors, where they might not have multiplexes.”

Connection b/w Zarina & Kangana?

We stumbled upon some yesteryear photos of television actress Zarina Wahab and was surprised to notice the striking resemblance she had with hot actress Kangana Ranaut.

Well this may be a coincidence, but Kangana when she was struggling to make a mark in her career was given a shelter by Zarina Wahab and her husband Aditya Panscholi(with whom she later had an affair)..and ironically Zarina had no problem when Aditya left her for Kangana and she also welcomed him back into her life when Aditya and Kangana split.

Now the question is - wether Kangana is Zarina Wahab’s secret daughter or is it just a coincidence?

Himesh - All Set For His 3rd Release

Himesh Reshammiya’s third film as an actor Kajraare, a T-Series’ production is all set to be a Diwali release. Directed by actress Pooja Bhatt the film stars opposite Himesh, Pakistani actress Mona Laizza apart from Amrita Singh and Gulshan Grover. The release date for the film is scheduled as October 16th. But on the same day two more biggies are slated for release, thats Hrithik Roshan - Barbara Mori - Kangana Ranaut starrer Kites and Ajay Devgan’s home production All The Best staring Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Mugdha Godse along with Ajay himself.

Kajraare is supposedly, a modernised remake of Mahesh Bhatt’s Pooja Bhatt-Sanjay Dutt starrer Sadak. But this move to release it on Diwali day seems no less than a hara-kiri claims trade pundits. Himesh began his acting career with a bang with a musical hit like Aap Ka Surroor but his next release, the Karz remake titled Karzzzz was a big turkey at the ticket window. His Kajraare was to release much earlier but reportedly, the on going recession took toll on it and the schedules kept getting pushed ahead. Now as its nearing completion, the makers are planning for a Diwali release. But with big mega budget oppositions like Kites and All The Best, we just hope the makers give the release date a rethink or else Himesh might have to work harder to prove himself yet again as an actor.

Karan Johar’s birthday party was a place of patch ups, first it was SRK and Ash who became friends then it saw the grand reunion of Kareena Kapoor and Ash. Kareena Kapoor, who was in the capital for the International Cricket Council (ICC) news conference, had not been on talking terms with the Bachchans eversince Abhishek’s relationship with Bebo’s Karisma Kapoor ended a few years ago.

Ash and Kareena were reportedly seen laughing, giggling, whispering and behaving like two long-lost friends. Ash and Bebo also hit the dance floor together.

It was reported earlier that Abhishek, who had made his debut with Kareena in Refugee, had refused films with her, prompting the emotional girl to react angrily and defiantly.

Deepika Is shorter Than Farhan

On the sets of Oye its Friday! Farhan measured Deepika Padukone’s height and was stunned by the leggy lass’s height but to his utter surprise he is actually taller than Deeps.

Farhan says, “So far I presumed she was taller. I had even measured her height on my talk show Oye It’s Friday and I was okay with the fact that she looked taller than me. I’ve absolutely no problem being shorter than my heroine.”

But a recent challenged made Farhan realize he is taller, “She made me stand next to her. And to my surprise she turned out to be no taller. In fact maybe I’m a half-inch taller than her. Deepika says she isn’t as tall as she looks. It comes from having long legs, I guess.”

Kareena Respects Her Past

Kareena Kapoor has revealed that talking about Shahid doesn’t embarrass her because she and her current beau Saif respect her past.

On asking wether she gets uncomfortable because of Shahid talk and she says, “Not at all! And that’s because I respect my past. Both Saif and I respect my past. Shahid is a wonderful human being and it’s extremely sad that things couldn’t work out. When Katrina Was Stalked

It was horrible for Katrina Kaif few days ago, first the news about Salman throwing her stuff outta his home and then a stalker who managed to get to Katrina’s home twice inspite of the security outside the building.

A close buddy of Katrina says, “The man had been constantly hanging out outside Katrina’s building but no one paid any attention to him. But, a week ago he went up to her house early in the morning and told the domestic help that Katrina had summoned him. It was 7.30am and as Katrina was asleep, the domestic help called up Katrina’s business manager, who asked the man to come back later in the evening.”

The man came again to Kat’s home in the evening and met her manager and he realized that there was something wrong with the way the stalker behaved and he immediately reported it to the nearby police station.

A source says, “The police acted promptly even though they were unaware that the call had come from Katrina’s manager. Meanwhile, Katrina has had a word with the building authorities and the security has been beefed up to ensure that the unpleasant incident isn’t repeated. Incidentally, the stalker was seen outside her building even after the police warning, but he left on noticing the increased security.”

There is no SRK in Dhoom3

Well all our hopes to see SRK as the new stylish theif in Dhoom3 has been crashed,as Yash Raj studios have ruled out the fact that SRK is working in Dhoom3 as baseless rumors.

VP of YRF, Rafiq Gangjee, “This story is completely untrue and baseless. We have no idea where this rubbish originated but like all wildfires has spread rapidly.”

According to a recent rumor which read, “Shah Rukh had been approached by the banner to play the main villain in the most successful franchise of Bollywood - the Dhoom series - and he has immediately given the nod. Last few days there has been a lot of buzz that Saif Ali Khan has signed the dotted line for the same role but it seems they were just plain rumors.”

Salman Did Not Dump Katrina

Well there was a buzz doing rounds last week that Salman in full rage had thrown Katrina and her stuff out of his home after he caught her red-handed texting some romantic messages to her New York co-star John Abraham, however the rumor was a full blown lie.

A startled Katrina says, “I’ve no idea where this story started from, but Salman was very angry and he was ready to clear the air with the people who started it, but they didn’t come on the line. So obviously, someone’s up to mischief.”

Katrina adds, “What stuff of mine has Salman thrown away?I haven’t given him any gifts till date. And all my other personal stuff is still lying around in his house, intact. Most importantly, my photographs are still hanging on the walls.”

Talking about John she says,“John was a sweetheart, we enjoyed each other’s company. There are some friendships that are carried on even after the film is completed. But John and I never became that kind of friends. The SMSes were old ones, not new. All this is rubbish.”

Benazir’s request for private security was denied by Musharraf says Senator John Kerry

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated on December 27, was denied private security by President Pervez Musharraf, US Senator John Kerry has alleged.

“Benazir told me shortly before she was assassinated that Musharraf had denied her private security,” the Daily Times quoted Kerry as saying.

Refusing to divulge further details, Kerry said that he had contacted the US State Department to arrange security for Benazir after her October 18 homecoming rally was attacked in Karachi in which over 140 people were killed.

Hrithik - Barbara’s Passionate Kiss

Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori are unveiling their flick Kites at Cannes 2009 apart from revealing that they have kissed passionately like real-lovers in the flick.

Hrithik says, “Why are we even talking about kissing? Is that such a big deal? Hasn’t our cinema grown up? Yes, there’re kissing scenes in the film, but nothing to make me squirm. In fact, I’d be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with my wife, son and parents when the film is released.”

” ‘Kites’ is a love story. It’s about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact, it was Barbara Mori who made me realise how silly we look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally.”

“We were both supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height. Before we did so our director Anurag Basu suggested I kiss Barbara since we were doing something death-defying and dangerous and potentially lethal. I reached out and kissed her on the cheeks.

Studio 18 is taking Strides

After taking giant steps as distributor [WELCOME, SINGH IS KINNG, KIDNAP, GOLMAAL RETURNS and GHAJINI] and baby steps as co-producers [LITTLE ZIZOU and DIL KABADDI], The Indian Film Company and Studio 18 are ready to take gigantic steps in film production too.

The company has already tied up with Abbas-Mustan [to remake THE ITALIAN JOB; the rights have been officially bought from the foreign studio], David Dhawan, Anees Bazmee, Priyadarshan and Sanjay Gadhvi [7 DAYS IN PARIS]. Besides, there's a co-production with Gurinder Chadha [IT'S A WONDERFUL AFTERLIFE] and Dev Benegal [ROAD, MOVIE; international sales agent Fortissimo Films has acquired the global distribution rights of the film] as well.

There's an interesting line up for distribution too, starting with LIFE PARTNER [Abbas-Mustan], SHORTCUT [Anil Kapoor], LUCK [Shree Ashtavinayak] and Arshad Warsi's home-production. So expect a lot of action from July onwards from this corporate entity.

You heard this here first. Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan Will be dancing at the 10th IIFA awards to be held in Macau from June 11. Sonam Kapoor is all set to make her stage debut at IIFA this year. Aishwarya Rai too has been confirmed and so has Kareena Kapoor.

The show will be hosted by Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Boman Irani. But one of the highlights each year, the movie premier, has been done away with. Explains IIFA director Sabbas Joseph, “It can’t be helped.

The movie premiere had to be cancelled this year because of the ongoing strike of new releases in Bollywood. two big films were ready to be premiered at IIFA this year. I shall refrain from mentioning their names. But the imbroglio did away with the premiere.”

As a substitute IIFA this year has the world-famous Cirque de Soleil performing for the audience. “We believe audiences won’t get a chance to miss the world premiere once they see the Cirque de Soleil performing.”

Why Macau? Says Sabbas,”Because we feel it’s the Las Vegas of the East. In this the tenth year of IIFA’s existence we wanted either the US or China to be our venue. We chose China because we feel it could be a gateway for Bollywood to the West. We also hope to end the deadlock between India and China over the exchange of cinema. We haven’t come away from one venue without opening up doors for Bollywood. We’re confident this would be the case in China.”

She just asked me when and where she is required to be present. That's the best part of this industry. There is such emotional bonding between people in spite of all the talks about professional rivalries and back biting. In the last few weeks, the way Kareena and Lara have lend me support, I have further gone on to realize that we folks are indeed one big family and the ties that are seen in Bollywood can't be evidenced elsewhere.'

Adds Jackky, 'I have known Lara and Kareena for so long but them supporting me for the promotion of my debut film has been an extraordinary affair. Frankly, I wasn't too sure how it all would turn out but dad always has belief in the people he works with. He was confident that no one would turn him away.

Thankfully, this is what happened and both the ladies were sporty enough to accompany me for the tours. I can never ever forget what they have done for me.' Meanwhile there continues to be uncertainty around the release of the movie after it was announced at the last minute that Vivek Sharma directed KAL KISSNE DEKHA won't eventually make it for the 29th May release. With the current stand off between producers and multiplexes failing to see any resolution, it is indeed a 'kal kissne dekha' moment for all involved with the movie.

Actress Mugdha Godse too Busy

Actress Mugdha Godse is busy from day to night these days. The reason behind this hectic schedule is her two upcoming films.

She has to continuously shuffle between Goa and Mumbai for shooting of both the films. Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail is being shot in Mumbai while shooting of Rohit Shetty’s “All The Best” is going in Goa.

Mugdha has to continuously change moods also as Jail is a serious movie while All The Best is a comedy.

Mugdha said: "I'm still trying to adjust to that. One day I'm dancing and joining the celebrations with a large number of co-stars in All The Best. Then on the very next day I have to be all sombre and serious for Jail."

Along with the hard work, Mugdha has to take care of her neck also which got injured in a road accident some time back. Although she is happy with the fact that due to her neck injury is she gets extra care on the sets.

"John and I have gone through enough of such gossip. I don't want to give any credibility to this by even commenting on it. It is malicious and absolutely the most bizarre story involving us. Just for the knowledge of people who actually love us together, we are very happy being with each other, and we're responsible and protective about our relationship," the Bong bombshell told The Times of India.

According to a Bollywood source, John and Katrina have being romantically linked up due to their close proximity during the promotion of their movie New York and they were spotted exchanges SMSs. Besides John and Salman are known for sharing cold vibes for quite some time.

"This is bizarre. John was shocked to read stories of his 'latest flame.' He is absolutely happy with Bips and they both had a good laugh over the latest rumor," the source said. Perhaps true. But can the media be blamed since all the Bollywood hotties find John so attractive?
