The latest talk to the b-town is Karan Johar’s birthday bash at a hotel in the central Mumbai. Karan managed to bring in some of the most famous personalities of the industry.

The faces that could be seen at the party are Shah Rukh Khan with Gauri, Abhishek Bachchan with Aishwarya, Hrithik Roshan with Sussanne, Saif Ali Khan with Kareena Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna (minus Akshay), Ranbir Kapoor with Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan with Avantika Malik.

And the powerful Tina Ambani and Parmeshwar Godrej amongst a bevy of other beauties and socialites.

Not only that, he also managed to make sure that everyone enjoyed and had a great time at his party. “There was a lot of bonding happening; and rightly so. After all Karan’s party was the last major do for the summer of 2009. Next, he and Shah Rukh leave for the US to shoot My Name Is Khan. They’ll be gone for two months. That means Bollywood’s most influential folks will not get a chance to boogie-woogie and bond till August”, said one of the guests.

After the release of Kites, Rakesh Roshan will soon start working on Krrish 2. According to well-placed sources, the film is already in the scripting process, with a newer concept.

It will feature Hrithik Roshan yet again and Deepika Padukone is being considered for the part of the leading lady.

A source reveals, "After the success of Krrish, the Roshans decided to go ahead with the sequel of the movie. Their first priority was to finish with Kites and then work on Krrish 2.

Kites is almost done and is in the post-production stage. Rakesh Roashan's production house FilmKraft is working on Krrish 2.

They are at an infant stage and still working on script and the star cast, but it obviously includes Hrithik as the actor."

Saving Wonders The source continues, "The layout of the script is ready and it will see Hrithik in a superhero avatar once again.

He will be seen saving the Seven Wonders of the World, so naturally the film will be shot extensively at various foreign locations.

Hrithik will undergo physical training once again for the role. Like the prequel, this too will have SFX and a big crew of foreign technicians."

Neetu's Lesbian Photo Shoot

Neetu Chandra's 'woman-on-woman' photo shoot has literally created a storm. Leave aside the protests (or the lack of them), the fact remains that the pictures have been noticed by one and all (though quite a few also deny having looked at them, but more on that later) and the Garam Masala girl who got 'lucky' with an unlucky number '13' quite recently has now moved up from a Traffic Signal to Page 1 across National Dailies as well as prime slots on news channels.

We catch up with quite a few industry men and tries to gauge their reaction on Neetu's photo shoot. While doing so, we came across an interesting trend. While majority of top line actors (names withheld) either refrained from commenting at all or evaded the query by stating - 'I am yet to look at the pictures', quite a few Bollywood filmmakers were game to share their views around the photo shoot. This is what they had to say.

Ken Ghosh - "It's quite an interesting concept! Great going!" Shirish Kunder - "Awesome. In fact I thought it was a little restrained. They should have gone out a little more." Rohit Jugraj - "I think it's very awesome and gutsy on Neetu's part to go ahead with such bold and sensuous pictures. Times are changing and we should pay heed.

Top Bollywood actress in Hollywood

A leading Hollywood studio is looking at remaking one of its popular films of 2009 in Hindi, for which it is taking.

A Bollywood producer's help, and in which top actresses like Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Asin and Sonam Kapoor are being considered for the two leading roles.

The Hollywood film under consideration is the romantic comedy of this year - Bride Wars, starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson. In its official Bollywood remake.

The film will be one big fat Punjabi wedding with plenty of colour, song and dance, drama, fireworks, the whole nine yards.

Shrishti Behl - director Goldie's sister, who produced Drona last year, is the Bollywood filmmaker contacted to work.

On this project. Confirming her participation, Shristi said, "The days of plagiarism are over. Official remakes are the way to go. And Bride Wars lends itself beautifully to an Indian adaptation."

That it does, but there is likely to be a war among the six top contenders for the two roles in this film. The Hollywood studio, unmindful of the fact that these.

Rekha Not Old Enough

Few days back the state cultural department had announced the "Raj Kapoor Jeevan Gaurav award" (Lifetime Achievement) to Rekha for her contribution to Hindi cinema.

The state government officials, however, were in for a surprise when Rekha told them that she was not inclined to accept the award as it went against her own concept of work and self-image.

The Maharashtra cultural affairs minister Harshwardhan Patil who spoke to media persons, said Rekha felt that she could not accept a Lifetime award because she was still pursuing an active film career, which has not ended.

To honour her sentiments, the government has now amended the title of the award to "Raj Kapoor Pratiba Gaurav", putting an accent on the creative aspect of the artiste.Now, the re-invented award will be presented to the veteran actress on the occasion of 46th Maharashtra state film award distribution ceremony slated for May 30 in the city. The other awardees include Bollywood star Aamir Khan who too will be present at the felicitation.

BOLLYWOOD STAYS CONSERVATIVE!

Seems Bollywood is conservative as ever and expressing real emotion and action in a movie is still taboo. Hrithik Roshan has been a victim of a lip-lock again. This time with his Mexican co-star Barbara Mori in his family production 'Kites'.

The actor, however, asserts that the actress did help him discard his inhibitions and they kissed like real-life couples! Earlier, Hrithik was in the headlines for locking lips with Aishwarya Rai in 'Dhoom 2' and 'Jodhaa Akbar'.

Now, even Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan besides Hrithik's wife Suzanne seem to be upset with the growing relations between Hrithik and Mori following their intimate kissing scene in 'Kites.

'For Rakesh Roshan it is the first international project and the movie is being screened at the on-going Cannes international film festival.

Hrithik says he would be more than happy and completely comfortable watching those kissing scenes with his wife, son and parents when the film is released.

He justifies the scene as the demand of the occasion, i.e. the script. 'Kites' is a love story. It's about people in love. And what do people in love do to express their mutual feelings? In fact, it was Barbara Mori who told him how silly they'd look on screen while shying away from expressing love naturally."

Hrithik recalls that he and Barbara were shooting a tough and dangerous action sequence in Santa Fe city in New Mexico State in the US. Both were supposed to jump off from a rooftop at an impossible height! Director Anurag Basu suggested that.

He kiss Barbara since both were doing something death defying and dangerous and potentially lethal. So, Hrithik reached out and kissed her on the cheek. But, Barbara asked if Suzanne would kiss him on the cheek under the same situation? This floored Hrithik, he claims, and then he just kissed her the way real-life couples would, naturally on the lips. Amen!

How Deepika bagged the Role?

Ranbir Kapoor will play double role in the film Mera Jahaan. This film will be directed by Vikramjit Singh who has also penned the story and screenplay. The story of Mera Jahaan happens in two different time periods and so Ranbir will appear in two totally different get ups.

Further, the actor will be seen sporting many different looks in the film. Deepika Padukone, Ranbir’s real life love plays his love interest in Mera Jahaan. It is worth mentioning here that Anil Kapoor’s daughter Sonam Kapoor declined to play the lead role because the film had two heroines.

Double Role Galore in Bollywood

Double roles are back in vogue as Bollywood actors offer double whammy to audience by displaying their two shades. Ranbir Kapoor is the latest one to join the league. He will be seen opposite Deepika Padukone in a double role in Vikramjit Singh's Mera Jahaan.

Ranbir is likely to portray two characters from two distinct time periods. One character is based in the 1950s in India and abroad while the other is from India of 2009. The story revolves around a comic book writer who is lost in his own world, hence the title Mera Jahaan.

Apart from Ranbir, Shahid Kapur will also be seen essaying roles of two characters - one positive and the other negative in his upcoming film Kaminay. Also be ready to seen Asin in a twin avatar in the Hindi version of the Tamil hit Dasavatharam.
