iPhone OS 4.0 jailbreak has a few major caveats

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Many iPhone users out there like the handset, but aren’t big fans of being locked to one network or limited to using only approved software. For this type of user jailbreaking, their device is often one of the first things done.

The catch is that with each update the jailbreak crowd has to find another way around the lockdowns Apple puts into effect. With iPhone OS 4.0, coming soon jailbreak artist MuscleNerd is already at work on jailbreaking the new OS.

MuscleNerd has succeeded already with some specific stipulations. First, the jailbreak only works on the iPhone 3G. The second is that the jailbreak software is only for developers. The third caveat is that reports are the jailbreak is unstable now with reports of wireless connectivity issues. Still, this is certainly a start and we can expect things to get better.

using monkeys. Using swipes and flicks to run and play a variety of
shots, it’s the most fun, addictive and amusing tennis game available
for your iPhone.

Monkey Tennis is rendered in 3D, and uses an advanced 3D physics
engine, so it is also a very realistic tennis experience – despite the
fact that you might be playing against a Chimpanzee.

You can swerve the ball, play lobs, drop shots, volleys, accurately
aim your shots and vary power, all with simple swipe gestures.

All of this can be done on grass, clay and hard courts – which all
have their own attributes. There are also over 30 monkeys to play
with, each with their own skills levels, style of play.

How will you handle a Gibbon that plays from the baseline? What about
a serve and volleying Gorilla? Easy? Well wait until you meet an
Orangutan that serves like Andy Roddick.

PIC-SAFE 1.0 for iPhone Offers Exclusive Drag and Drop Technology

Thursday, July 8, 2010

Announcing that Cal Stach, the developers of PIC-SAFE, has launched a unique app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The application offers users an exclusive tool and cutting edge picture sorting and privacy technology for iDevices. It is the only app that removes the need for cutting and pasting, replacing it with fast and easy, drag and drop action. PIC-SAFE has built-in sharing and security features, essentially offering a well organized photo vault.

The developer has created the program to increase the ease and speed of tucking pictures away in a secure environment. Users can reveal only photos that they want to share with others, without people realizing that some are left out or accidentally seeing a snapshot that the owner would rather they didn’t.

Using the PIC-SAFE app is easy enough for everyone. All a user has to do is create a folder, select as many photos as they want to put into that folder then drag and drop the pictures into it. Each folder can have its only password protection to keep out prying eyes. Viewing snapshots is also easily done, just by touching and holding for one second. The usual pinch and pull motions will enlarge the photograph, if desired. PIC-SAFE also allows users to email photos directly from within the application.
