The poll conducted by shaadi.com had votes from about 18,000 netizens, a statement from the company said on Friday.Nearly 48 per cent of males voted for Katrina as the most eligible single female. The actress scored over divas like Bipasha Basu , Deepika Padukone , Kareena Kapoor , Priyanka Chopra and Sonam Kapoor .

Nearly 43 per cent females named John as their favoured eligible bachelor. John garnered more votes than Salman Khan , Saif Ali Khan , Ranbir Kapoor , Rahul Gandhi, M.S. Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh.
