Due to excessive vomiting and as a result, dehydration, Riya abandoned the plan of visiting Manali, and was admitted to a local hospital in Sundernagar. After the initial medical aid, she felt a bit better and was brought back to Shimla. From Shimla's Jubbarhatti airport, she was flown in to Delhi for further treatment. The cast members, who accompanied her, confirmed the news and said that Riya is now recuperating and is quite alright.
