An Exclusive look at ‘Sahib Biwi And Ghulam’
Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan had appeared together in ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ but the movie failed to create magic at the box-office. Now, the two stars are set to appear together again for ‘Sahib Biwi and Gulam’ which is being produced and directed by Rituparno Ghosh.
The movie tells the story of a wealthy zamindar and his beautiful wife. The zamindar is in habit of visiting brothels and kothas which leaves the wife lonely. Then there is a young man named Bhoot Nath who is hired as a servant to this zamindar. Bhootnath comes close to the lonely wife and both soon develop a platonic relationship. Then Bhootnath comes to know and feel his mistress’s loneliness and the life she is cursed to live.
The script definitely seems interesting and challenging. Meanwhile check out the exclusive poster from the movie.
Ranbir Kapoor & Konkona Sen in ‘Wake Up Sid’
Having a most unusual pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead roles Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions’ forthcoming venture ‘Wake Up Sid’ seems to awake much enthusiasm among the cinelovers. The movie is being directed by debutante Ayaan Mukherjee, who earlier was assistant director of Ashutosh Gowariker in ‘Swades’ and Karan Johar in ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’.
Scheduled to release on October 2, 2009, the movie is based on the story of a handsome young boy (Ranbir Kapoor) who falls for an older and simple writer woman (Konkona Sen Sharma).Anupam Kher will be seen as father of Ranbir Kapoor.
This will be the first film produced by Dharma Productions that will be distributed worldwide by UTV Motion Pictures and not by Yash Raj Films, thus marking the end of the collaboration between Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films.

Mallika Spreads Magic on Salman's 10 Ka Dum
The hot diva Mallika Sherawat and Olympian boxing champ Vijender Singh, both hailing from Haryana, were the guest at Salman’s popular game show 10 Ka Dum. So, there is no need to tell that the show was lively and interesting.
Even if the game has been a brain teaser for both to get the answers right, the icing on the cake was when Mallika revealed that she takes cooking classes and also offered to cook for both the men! How interesting!
Can you imagine Mallika with belan in her hand? But she is purely Indian. She knows how to cook. So, when Mallika started making rotis, Salman also quickly got into action. Bipasha Refuses to Hollywood Star's Demand
She has made it clear that she is not going to go out of her way to keep the makers of the film happy. And the makers of the film just tasted one such experience.
A photo shoot with the main leads of the film had been planned and they were to even do a look test together. The shoot had been planned in Los Angeles because Billy Zane did not want to to India just for a photo shoot.
The producers felt they could convince Bips easily to fly down to LA. But Bipasha refused.
Her argument was that if the film was to be shot in India and Zane had signed the film, then it should not be a great deal for him to come to India for the shoot.
Since it is a joint venture, Bipasha wanted to assert her stand as well. The producers have not managed to convince Billy yet, but Bips is not relenting too. Let’s see who gives in first.
Katrina Kaif in a Street Fight!!
Katrina Kaif was scared to death while shooting for her film New York in Philadelphia. A little birdie revealed that right after spending some nice food time, when the actress stepped out of a restaurant on to the streets of the city, she was caught bang in the middle of a mad scene. People were jumping up and down on top of the cars and smashing beer bottles.
Well as found out, it was not really a street fight at all.And our pretty babe was quite safe. It so happened that US had just won the World Cup. Phew! Our girl heaved a sigh of relief. In fact the cops were party to the ongoing celebrations on the street.
Priyanka Thrown Out of Dhoom Director Film!!
Sources say that initially the producers and director Sanjay Gadhvi were taken aback at the beautiful lass’ demand but later tried to reason it out to some reasonable level. However, Piggy Chops was adamant on getting the full amount of Rs 5 crore if she was wanted in the film. Finally, Sanjay Gadhvi, who had directed the super duper hit film ‘Dhoom’ with Hrithik and Aishwarya for Yashraj, decided to dump Priyanka and wait for some other bollywood babe to work in the film.
One theory that is doing rounds in the industry about reasons Priyanka Chopra demanded such a huge amount is that she thought she was doing a favor by working opposite Imran Khan in ‘7 Days in Paris’. Sources say that Priyanka’s reasoning was simple that Imran Khan might have been successful in ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’, but his ‘Kidnap’ with Sanjay Gadhvi had bombed at the box office, and so the upcoming film will largely depend on her craze at the box office, and hence the demand was justified.
Another theory in this regard has to do with Priyanka Chopra’s upcoming mega- budget Yashraj flick ‘Pyar Impossible’. Priyanka has been paired in the film with Uday Chopra (Yash Chopra’s son) and to compensate this, Yashraj Films paid the oomph queen a sum of Rs 3 crore, which is great, considering the fact that Yashraj never pays handsomely to its stars.
Priyanka Chopra wanted the same Yashraj yardstick to apply in the case of Sanjay Gadhvi’s flick ‘7 Days in Paris’ and so demanded her price to work with a lesser star like Imran Khan. However, in this case director Sanjay Gadhvi and producers thought otherwise and threw Priyanka out of the project.It may be recalled that Priyanka Chopra’s latest films like ‘Dostana’, ‘Fashion’ etc, which proved to be super successful at the box office, have put her on a high pedestal, and hence her demand for Rs 5 crore was not fully unjustified (at least Priyanka thinks so).
However, as ‘7 Days in Paris’ is scheduled to go on the floors by next month, director Sanjay Gadhvi has already initiated talks with other bollywood hot babes. Sources reveal that Gadhvi is already in advanced stage of talks with southern sensation Asin, who had made her bollywood debut opposite Aamir Khan in ‘Ghajni’.
There is also talk that Imran Khan’s heroine Genelia D’Souza from his hit film ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ may be roped in, if talks with Asin fail to come to some positive conclusion.
However, director Sanjay Gadhvi and Priyanka Chopra preferred to keep mum on the issue and remained unavailable for comment.
Kareena, Katrina Have Sexy Bodies: Akshay
Akshay Kumar has worked with both Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in several films, but can't decide who is better. The action king says both are "wonderful actresses" and have "sexy bodies". "Both Kareena and Katrina are really good but who is the better among them depends on their roles in the films. Otherwise, both of them have sexy bodies and are absolutely wonderful actresses," said Akshay when asked to choose his favourite of the two.
Akshay has done four films with Katrina including Namastey London and Singh Is Kinng, while he has worked with Kareena in five that include hits Ajnabee and Aitraaz. The two are set to scorch the screen once again in their upcoming action-cum-romantic drama Kambakkht Ishq, which releases this coming Friday.
"In Kambakkht Ishq, Kareena has performed very well. Her character required to answer back at me and be strong and she has portrayed it in a powerful, yet lovable way. On the other hand, even Katrina was really good in Namastey London. So it's not really about my choice... it all depends on their roles," the actor said.
Akshay, who has spent more than 18 years in the Hindi film industry, says acting with a new league of actresses is a learning experience.
"As a senior actor, I don't always have to give out tips to the younger ones. In fact, I feel I can learn a lot from the younger generation because they have new ways of acting and a different approach to work.
"I cannot particularly point out what I have learnt from them (Kareena and Katrina) yet, but yes, working with them was a learning experience," said the actor, who has also teamed up with Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone and Ayesha Takia.
Akshay plays a Hollywood stuntman in Kambakkht Ishq, which also boasts of big Hollywood names like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards and Brandon Routh - working with whom has been a "dream come true" for the actor.
In the film, Akshay has done what he is best at - action and daredevilry - something that had taken a backseat in his career for a while.
"I decided to stop doing stunts till Aarav (son) turns at least six. Now I'm back at it again. In Blue, which is an action thriller, I have done some death-defying stunts like the one where I had to swim 150 feet underwater with 30-40 sharks. But I will talk about it sometime later," he said.
At the moment, the 41-year-old actor is pinning hopes on Sajid Nadiadwala's Kambakkht Ishq to bail him out after his much-publicised films Chandni Chowk To China and 8X10 Tasveer fizzled out at the box office.
"I'm expecting great response for this film. Though I had worked very hard in Chandni Chowk... , the response didn't turn out to be as expected. Some people and critics didn't like it and 8X10 Tasveer was more like an art film, which has a niche market in India. Kambakkht Ishq is a complete entertainer and I hope the audience appreciates it," he said.
